Accessibility

Accessibility is very important to us; we want every member of the community to be able to use and enjoy the building.

Entrance: The front door is power assisted and will open automatically when approached.

Toilets: In addition to male and female toilets, we have an accessible toilet located at the entrance to the Agincourt Hall as well as an accessible toilet located close to the community café. This has power assisted door opening, grab rails, and pull-cord alarm. Baby changing and nappy disposal facilities are also located in here.

Stairs: The building is spread across multiple levels however we have a lift that operates between the ground floor and first floor. The lift is wide enough to accommodate a standard mobility scooter. An “Evac+chair” is provided on the first floor in case of emergency.

Ramps: Permanent wheelchair ramps are in place for wheelchair users who wish to enter the garden / outdoor area to the rear of the Agincourt Hall through all the side doors (which are also fire exits).

Door width: Internal doors are wide enough for standard wheelchairs / mobility scooters.

Hearing Loop Our main hall, the Agincourt, is fitted with a hearing loop.
