We are currently closed due to the recent flooding in Monmouth
Dear friends of Bridges Centre,
Following the flooding in Monmouth town centre in November 2025, our building remains temporarily closed to the public while restoration work continues. The flood waters caused significant damage across the entire ground floor, reaching desk height in many areas.
Since then, contractors and specialists have been working with us to assess the building and plan the repairs needed to bring it back to life. Surveys are currently taking place and detailed restoration work is being prepared. While much of this activity may not yet be visible from the outside, progress is happening behind the scenes every day.
Our goal remains to partially reopen the building in Autumn 2026, with a full reopening planned for Spring 2027. We will continue to share updates as the work progresses.
In the meantime, the charity’s work across the community continues. Our community shop is fully open, afternoon teas are still taking place, and our wellbeing services continue to run across Monmouthshire, supporting people in Monmouth, Chepstow, Abergavenny, Caldicot and surrounding communities.
We understand that the closure of the building is inconvenient for many people who regularly visit or use the centre, and we are grateful for your patience and support while we work through this recovery process.
Thank you for continuing to stand with us as we restore Bridges Centre and we look forward to welcoming everyone back through the doors in the months ahead. 💚
