Accessibility at Bridges Centre

At Bridges Centre, accessibility matters. We want everyone in our community to feel confident, comfortable and welcome when visiting us.

Below is an overview of the facilities available to support access throughout the building.

🚪 Entrance

  • Our main entrance door is power-assisted and opens automatically as you approach.

🚻 Accessible Toilets

  • In addition to male and female toilets, we provide:

    • An accessible toilet at the entrance to the Agincourt Hall

    • An accessible toilet near the community café

  • Facilities include:

    • Power-assisted door

    • Grab rails

    • Pull-cord emergency alarm

    • Baby changing and nappy disposal facilities

🛗 Lift Access

  • The building spans multiple levels.

  • A lift operates between the ground floor and first floor.

  • The lift accommodates standard wheelchairs and mobility scooters.

  • An Evac+Chair is located on the first floor for emergency evacuation support.

 

♿ Ramps & Outdoor Access

  • Permanent wheelchair ramps provide access to the garden/outdoor area at the rear of the Agincourt Hall.

  • Side doors (also fire exits) are accessible for wheelchair users.

 

🚪 Door Widths

  • Internal doors are wide enough to accommodate standard wheelchairs and mobility scooters.

 

🔊 Hearing Loop

  • The Agincourt Hall is fitted with a hearing loop system.
