What a frightfully fun time we had at our Half-Term Kids’ Halloween Party on 31st October! The Bridges Centre was bursting with excitement (and a few ghouls and ghosts!) as 52 children in fabulous fancy dress joined us for an afternoon of games, laughter, and Halloween magic.
The hall was alive with monsters, witches, vampires, and pumpkins as everyone got stuck into a mix of traditional party games – from Pairs and Tin Can Alley to Musical Monsters (Statues) and Pass the Pumpkin.
Things took a spooky twist with some of our more unusual games, which had everyone giggling (and maybe squirming a little!). Fishing for Eyes saw the children deftly using chopsticks to fish out sweets shaped like eyeballs, while our Pet Shop Food Menu had some truly ghastly delights – including Cat Litter Tray Cake, Fluffy the Dog Food (a mix of Mars bar and jelly), and even Snake’s Blood (a tomato and Tabasco concoction for the bravest souls!).
The fun continued right through to the Halloween disco, where our little monsters showed off their best dance moves and burned off the last of their spooky energy.
A huge thank you to everyone who came along and helped make the event such a success – from the parents and volunteers to the kids themselves who brought so much enthusiasm and creativity to the day.
We’re already looking forward to our next family event – Breakfast with Santa on December 6th– and if it’s half as much fun as this one, we’re in for a treat (no tricks)!
