40th Anniversary Gala Dinner

This September Bridges charity celebrate our 40th Anniversary. We are undertaking a years worth of fundraising events beginning with a very special gala dinner cooked by celebrity chef Cyrus Todiwala OBE.

Bridges have set a fundraising target of £40,000 to help with the ongoing maintenance of historic Drybridge House, your community centres wonderful home for the last 21 years.

The Joint Chairs of Trustees, Ann Rosser and Mark Walton, commented, “There was a tremendous fund-raising initiative from the local community when Bridges restored and moved into Drybridge House in 2003. We hope that the community will be able to join forces once again to help sustain its future”.

Cyrus Todiwala OBE

Cyrus Todiwala OBE DL FIH is a chef, restaurateur, educationist, author and entrepreneur. Genial and down-to-earth, his accessible persona masks an encyclopaedic knowledge of food history and cuisine and many a sophisticated turn in the kitchen. Together with his wife Pervin, Cyrus runs four restaurants.

Cyrus regularly appears on cooking television shows such as BBC One’s Saturday Kitchen, UKTV Food’s Market Kitchen, ITV’s Daybreak and Channel 4’s Drop Down Menu. On radio, he has appeared in slots on Radio 4, Radio 5 Live, and the BBC World Service.

In 2018 Cyrus appeared on BBC Ones Royal Recipes to recreate the pudding that he served at the Queens Diamond Jubilee function – a dish he will serve here at Bridges for you!
